Halong Bay has a coastline of 120 kilometers and an area of about 1,553 square kilometers with 1,969 large and small islands, mostly limestone islands. The core of the bay covers an area of 335 square kilometers with a cluster of 775 islands.

Thien Mu pagoda, also known as Linh Mu pagoda is one of the interesting places to travel in Vietnam. This is an ancient temple situated on Ha Khe hill, on the left bank of the Perfume River and 5 kilometers from Hue city center to the west. Thien Mu Pagoda was officially built in 1601 in the reign of Tien Nguyen Hoang, the first Nguyen god of Cochinchina.

 

With its natural beauty and vast scale, Thien Mu Pagoda became the most beautiful one at that time. This pagoda went through a number of historical events. Thien Mu Pagoda was used as the place for offering sacrifices under the dynasty of Tay Son (1788), then rebuilt several times under the Nguyen dynasty. Nowadays, the pagoda has been continuously upgraded so that it becomes increasingly glorious, magnificent and attracts visitors from various regions.

 

Hoan Kiem lake or Sword lake is a natural freshwater lake in Hanoi with an area of approximately 12 hectares. Previously, the lake also had other names like Luc Thuy, Thuy Quan, Ta Vong and Huu Vong. The name of Hoan Kiem was associated with a legend in the fifteenth century. Legend has it the Emperor Le Thai To returned the precious sword to the Golden Turtle God at this lake.

 

Hoan Kiem Lake is in association with the legendary event and considered to be a  symbol of the desire for peace of Vietnamese people. Therefore, a lot of Vietnamese artists bring the image of Hoan Kiem lake to their works.

 

Hoi An is located on the northern bank of the lower section of Thu Bon river, about 25 kilometers from Da Nang to the southeast and 50 kilometers from Tam Ky to the northeast. From the sixteenth and seventeenth century, this place was well known as Faifoo, which is the major trading center in Southeast Asia drawing traders from Japan, China, Portugal and Italy.

 

Hoi An today preserves almost all the complexes of ancient architectural relics and intangible cultural heritage such as habits and customs, religious activities, folk art, cultural festival and traditional villages. Besides, traditional cuisine in Hoi An is one of the outstanding features that makes a deep impression on tourists. Cao Lau (high floor), Quang noodles and White Rose cake are must-eat dishes in the trip to Hoi An.

 

This island, also called Pearl Island, is the largest island in Vietnam and also the largest one of the complex of 22 islands in the Gulf of Thailand. Phu Quoc Island, along with some other islands forms Phu Quoc island district, Kien Giang province. The island has a total area of 589.23 square kilometers.

 

In 2008, the website of Concierge of Australia ranked Dai beach one of the 13 wild and beautiful beaches in the world. Phu Quoc is home to numerous fish sauce production factories and has a type of fish sauce that is famous not only in Vietnam but also around the world.
