Thien Mu Pagoda was officially built in 1601 in the reign of Tien Nguyen Hoang, the first Nguyen god of Cochinchina.

Hoan Kiem Lake
Hoan Kiem lake or Sword lake is a natural freshwater lake in Hanoi with an area of approximately 12 hectares. Previously, the lake also had other names like Luc Thuy, Thuy Quan, Ta Vong and Huu Vong. The name of Hoan Kiem was associated with a legend in the fifteenth century. Legend has it the Emperor Le Thai To returned the precious sword to the Golden Turtle God at this lake.

From the sixteenth and seventeenth century, this place was well known as Faifoo, which is the major trading center in Southeast Asia drawing traders from Japan, China, Portugal and Italy.

Phu Quoc
This island, also called Pearl Island, is the largest island in Vietnam and also the largest one of the complex of 22 islands in the Gulf of Thailand. Phu Quoc Island, along with some other islands forms Phu Quoc island district, Kien Giang province. The island has a total area of 589.23 square kilometers.
